	• Provide open affection • Encourage children to co-operate with each other • Provide a safe and secure environment, free of violence and free discrimination • Praise children and notice their accomplishments • Create rules that are clear and consistently enforced • Allow many opportunities for the children to speak individually with their teachers • Give clear choices as to do and at what times • Allow flexibility for children in their activities and time limits, depending on the child’s interest • Communicate on a daily basis with the parent with regards to the child’s well being • Respect the children’s work • Give opportunities for open conversation during meals/snacks • Ensure that safety, cleanliness and health care are the Centre’s foremost priorities
